Immersed
I began creating Immersed in May 2021. My paintings infuse realism with fairy-tail like semblance using saturated colors. Her weightless body floats just beneath the ocean's surface. She's "Immersed" in complete stillness and tranquility. All her thoughts, feelings and worries melt into the warm waters below her, allowing no space for disruption. With her head above the water she drifts into a meditative state allowing in only the peaceful sounds of nature that surrounds her, without fear of the unknown waters below.
This piece embodies a state of being that is beneficial for all of us to find. Our planet is such an enchanting place that we are fortunate enough to call home, yet at times can feel scary and chaotic affecting our mental health and stability. Immersed is here to remind the viewer to find beauty in the mundane, she encourages us to find our own sense of peace and calmness amid the uncertainty.
