✨A Little Bit About Me✨

Hello, I’m Sydney, a self-taught oil painter based out of Myrtle Beach, SC. I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember—it's the one thing that’s always brought me joy. My love for art has always been about capturing the beauty of what’s around me, and more recently, beneath the surface.

I specialize in ethereal underwater portraits, with a particular focus on women. To me, water represents both tranquility and power. I find it to be the perfect medium for expressing the strength, vulnerability, and beauty of women. I aim to capture more than just the figure. There’s something so intimate and empowering about the way water wraps around the human form, creating a sense of connection between the subject and the natural world. I create paintings that bring life to the mysterious world beneath the surface and draw inspiration from the fluidity of water, and the delicate interplay of light—how it plays with water and transforms what we see.

While my technical skills are entirely self-taught, my meticulous attention to detail and passion for the art form has driven me to continually explore new ways of conveying the beauty of woman and nature in a way that is both intimate and awe-inspiring. For me, painting is a very deep and personal experience. When you are viewing a piece of art, you are viewing something that was created in someones mind and they attempted to make that vision external for the world to see.

My artwork is based primarily with oils on wood panel and canvas; although I work with other art mediums such as acrylics, watercolor and resin from time to time. My paintings have been featured in various galleries, shops and exhibitions, where they’ve garnered attention for their striking realism and use of color. I’m beyond grateful to have the chance to share my vision and creations with others. I now currently work as a full time artist, entrepreneur & content creator. Ultimately, I hope my paintings invite people to pause and appreciate the beauty in both the calm and chaos of life, and to recognize the power we all carry, often in the most unexpected ways.
