I was very inspired to create this piece. It came purely from my imagination as I reflected back on days spent snorkeling around the Caribbean Islands. On any given day it was common to see these adorable sea turtles swimming in the shallow waters. I love photography that is half above and half under water, which also came to mind as I was painting.
